Flo is a friendly small-to-medium sized dog, probably 2 to 3 years old. She can be a bit shy when she meets new people, but she is very affectionate once she gets to know someone. Flo has been at the shelter since 07/17/10. (Pet ID# 10141) |

Capone is a handsome boy who was not too crazy about being around people when he came to the shelter. He has become a lot more social, and now a good cuddle gets his purr motor running. Capone is a 4 month old kitten who has been at the shelter since 06/16/10. (Pet ID# 10060) |

What's New At The Shelter
The Humane Society volunteers and adoptable puppies and dogs participated in the Pagosa Springs Chamber Annual Saint Patrick's Day Parade on March 17, 2010. Jan Karn, HSPS board member, was chairperson of this event and came up with the "Pot of Gold" theme for our float. Thank you to Jan and her helpers for painting and decorating the float and thank you to Hart Construction for loaning us their trailer, pickup, and driver!!

Donate a Cat Evacsak to the Animal Shelter to provide fast and easily accessible, comfortable, and durable housing in an emergency evacuation by animal shelter employees and/or fire department. Since 1992, the Evacsak has been used successfully by professional animal rescuers to help save lives. The Humane Society of Pagosa Springs needs your help-and we really need it now-to complete the new Animal Shelter project on Cloman Boulevard. The The new Phase I incoming/isolation building is finished, and the adoption center must be started soon. The project will cost $1.2 million, and over $900,000 has already been raised.
